About Sooraj
I am a Mathematics tutor who genuinely enjoys helping students make sense of Maths rather than fear it. Over time, I have seen that most difficulties in Mathematics arise not from lack of ability, but from gaps in understanding and the absence of clear guidance. That is what motivates me to teach.
I enjoy teaching because it allows me to break down complex ideas into simple, logical steps and watch students gradually gain confidence in their own thinking. I believe that once students start understanding why a method works, Mathematics becomes far more approachable and even enjoyable.
My goal as a teacher is not to impress with credentials, but to be clear, patient, and dependable. I want students to leave my classes feeling more confident, more curious, and better equipped to tackle problems independently.

My classes are structured, practice-oriented, and tailored to the student’s syllabus and academic level. Each class follows a structured approach:
1. Conceptual grounding – Key ideas are explained clearly, with emphasis on why a method works, not just how.
2. Guided examples – We work through representative problems together to understand standard approaches and common pitfalls.
3. Independent thinking – Instead of solving everything in class, I provide guiding questions and model problems that students attempt independently, helping them develop mathematical maturity and confidence.
4. Review and refinement – Solutions are discussed later to correct mistakes, improve rigor, and strengthen reasoning.
Problem-solving is an important part of my teaching, but it is not mechanical or rushed. Students are encouraged to think, justify steps, and communicate solutions logically. Periodic model questions and written solutions are shared to reinforce learning and track progress.
What makes my classes different is the focus on self-reliance. My goal is to equip students with the tools to approach unfamiliar problems confidently, rather than depend on constant supervision or shortcuts.
