About Pippa

Hi, I’m Pippa – and I’m here to help you feel more confident with maths! I’ve been teaching for over 14 years, including as a Head of Maths and Lead Practitioner, so I know what works when it comes to learning and doing well in exams. Whether you’re aiming for a top grade or just want things to make more sense, my lessons are relaxed, supportive, and completely tailored to you. We’ll break things down step by step, practise together, and make sure you feel ready for whatever’s coming up—GCSEs, A-Levels or anything in between. No pressure, no judgement—just clear explanations, encouragement, and real progress. Outside of tutoring I love sailing and beekeeping - ask me about them!

Who I Teach: I work with students from Key Stage 3 to A-Level, including those preparing for GCSE, IGCSE, and A-Level Maths. Whether your child needs support catching up, exam prep, or pushing for top grades, I create a clear and confident path forward. My Approach: I believe in building strong mathematical understanding—not just memorising methods. Lessons are structured, calm, and fully personalised to how each student learns best. I use proven teaching strategies to: Break down tricky concepts clearly Build exam technique and confidence Address knowledge gaps with precision Use questioning and modelling to stretch thinking A Typical Lesson: Each session begins with a short diagnostic task or review, followed by focused teaching on a key topic using examples and guided practice. We finish with independent application and targeted feedback, so your child leaves feeling clear and capable.
