About Alva
I am a qualified secondary school teacher with experience teaching students aged 12–18. I have a strong background in Math and have worked with students of all abilities, including those who need extra support to build confidence and understanding.
I offer private 1-to-1 tutoring in a supportive and encouraging environment. Lessons are tailored to each student: they can come with specific questions, homework or exam topics they want help with, or I can provide a clear revision scheme of work to guide them through the course.
I am very knowledgeable of the curriculum and focus on explaining concepts in a clear, simple way, helping students develop both understanding and exam confidence. Lessons are structured but relaxed, with plenty of opportunity for practice and questions. All lessons are 60 minutes in duration.
