My name is Barry and I am currently a final year maths student at the University of Warwick as well as the author of a popular maths blog on Medium with over 60,000 readers for over two years. I took my A-levels and achieved A* in both maths and further maths. I also took part in several mathematical Olympiads and competitions whilst I was in high school. As evidenced by the success of my maths blog, I have very strong ability to teach maths to students of varying abilities, and also have knowledge of most common maths curricula, such as the A-levels, IBDP, SATs and AP. My blog has been read over 100k+ times a month by readers from all walks of life, many of whom are professionals working in business, education, finance, science, technology, and engineering. Many high school maths teachers from the US and the UK have also shared some of my articles with their class.

About the lesson

I offer tutoring in the following: GCSE Maths & Further Maths (All Exam Boards) A Level Maths & Further Maths including all optional modules in Further Maths (All Exam Boards) IB Mathematics: AA (HL & SL), AI(HL & SL) I can also help with university entrance exams such as the MAT and STEP. I took both the MAT and STEP. -- My lessons are fully interactive and personalised. I use Miro, an online collaborative whiteboard, to write and explain in real time using my iPad — students can see everything I do live, just like an in-person lesson. They’ll also get the chance to write on the board, share their thinking, and work through problems with me step by step. We’ll use Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams for face-to-face video interaction, depending on your preference. After each session, I’ll send a PDF copy of all notes and working out, so you can review everything we covered. I’m also happy to provide optional homework questions between lessons to help you reinforce what you've learnt and track progress. Whether you're aiming to boost confidence, prepare for exams, or just finally make sense of maths, I'm here to help.
