About Philip
I am an experienced maths teacher, and have spent 8 years teaching in Secondary Schools in Nottingham and Manchester. I have taught across KS3-KS5, and have plenty of experience of tutoring as well (both in person and online). I have worked with a wide variety of students in terms of their ages and abilities, and this enables me to build good working relationships with students. I pride myself on my ability to make students feel comfortable, engaged and challenged during lessons/sessions.
For my last for years of teaching I was a Head of Year in the sixth form, helping students with college/university/job applications. This was the most rewarding part of my job in education!
I have also worked as a Qualified Team Leader Marker for the EdExcel exam board, which has proven extremely beneficial for my teaching and understanding of GCSE.
