About Claire
I have over 20 years Maths teaching experience in a variety of schools. I believe in understanding concepts in an exam situation is vital for a student's success. My approach is very much a team effort between me and the student. In recent years I have mainly worked with Year 11 - Year 13 students but have experience of all age groups. I am incredibly well prepared and feel that preparation and consistency in maths is a key factor to success. I look forward to helping you reach your potential.

One of the greatest reasons students struggle with Maths is their lack of confidence in the subject. I believe as a teacher it is my job to build that confidence and encourage students to have an I can do attitude to a maths problem. My lessons are tailored to the needs of students but adapted based on feedback on how a student is assessing the work. With students in years 11-13 I tend to focus on exam preparation particularly on topics where students need extra help. With younger students I concentrate on individual concepts helping them to really understand the content. I make my lessons as engaging as possible and value the feedback of students on how we should move forward.
