About Kenia
I am a third-year Medical Student at the University of Bristol with over a year of experience tutoring GCSE and IGCSE Maths. I achieved grades 8–9 in my GCSEs and an A* in Maths at both GCSE and A-level, so I understand the academic journey and the pressure that can come with achieving the grades needed for competitive university courses.
I am a patient, determined and detail-oriented tutor. I’m naturally analytical and pay close attention to each student, helping me identify gaps in their understanding that they may not have noticed themselves. I am familiar with different exam boards, their specifications, past papers and mark schemes, so I can tailor lessons to the exact question styles and techniques students will face in their exams.
Most importantly, I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes without judgement. Mistakes are often the best way to identify what needs improving! My goal is to build strong foundations, confidence and exam technique so that when exam time comes, students feel prepared rather than overwhelmed.

I use a highly personalised approach with each student, focusing on their individual strengths and areas for improvement. My lessons are typically one hour long and place a strong emphasis on past-paper practice, helping students master exam technique, time management, and the specific question styles used by their exam board.
I am a medical student at the University of Bristol and have over a year of experience teaching GCSE and IGCSE Maths, with my students achieving excellent results, including grades 8–9. Having studied the exam specifications and past papers closely, I understand exactly what examiners are looking for and make sure my teaching is focused on the knowledge and techniques students need to succeed.
I achieved an A* in Maths at both GCSE and A-level, so I understand which areas students often find challenging. I adapt my teaching methods to each student and find different ways of explaining difficult concepts until they feel confident tackling them independently.
