About Maria

Hello! I'm Maria, a passionate primary and lower secondary British Curriculum educator with over 6 years of one-to-one teaching experience. I love helping students discover that maths doesn't have to be difficult; it can be enjoyable, rewarding, and even fun!

My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and personalised to each student's needs. I believe every learner can succeed with the right support, clear explanations, and plenty of practice. Watching students grow in confidence, solve problems independently, and achieve their academic goals is the most rewarding part of teaching.

Whether your child needs help strengthening the basics, improving grades, or preparing for school assessments, I'm committed to making every lesson engaging, supportive, and tailored to their success.

About the lesson

I believe every child can succeed in maths with the right guidance and encouragement. My lessons are designed to make maths clear, engaging, and enjoyable by breaking down challenging concepts into simple, easy-to-understand steps. I adapt each lesson to the student's learning style, helping them build confidence as well as strong problem-solving skills.

Lessons typically last 45–60 minutes and include explanations, guided practice, interactive activities, and plenty of opportunities to ask questions. I also provide regular revision and practice to reinforce learning and prepare students for assessments.

With over 6 years of one-to-one teaching experience, I teach Primary and Lower Secondary students following the British Curriculum, supporting learners with everything from strengthening core maths skills to improving grades and developing confidence. My goal is to help every student enjoy learning and realise that maths can be both rewarding and fun.
