About Maya

Hi, my name is Maya! I’m a UK medical student providing tuition in the following areas: - GCSE biology - A-level biology - Pre-clinical medicine (Year 1-3) - UCAT - Medical school interview prep - Personal statement advice I thoroughly enjoy teaching and have developed my skills immensely since I started tutoring 3 years ago. I achieved an A*/9 at GCSE and an A* at A-Level in biology. I believe I have the skills and knowledge-base to provide excellent tuition, and to instil confidence in my students regarding their abilities. The aim of my lessons is to give my students the tools to perform their absolute best in their exams and achieve the results they’ve worked so hard for! ️

About the lesson

The first lesson is always free! It will involve introductions, identifying the student's targets and making a plan of action. My schedule is quite flexible so I'm available any day of the week. I have tutored students studying for the UCAT for the past three years, and I believe I have a lot of tips and tricks that can help! I offer thorough personal statement feedback by making line-by-line annotations, and reviewing what went well and what could be done better. Students are allowed to request this service as many times as they wish, and are welcome to discuss the feedback with me. I have a vast supply of resources for interview prep. These will be used to improve the quality of your answers, as well as your overall interview skills. The sessions will be split between myself asking you questions, and receiving detailed feedback and advice. I can tailor the interview sessions to an MMI or panel format. In addition to this, after each session I will send my students a document regarding their corrections and any further helpful tips. I hope this helps!
