About Susan
I have taught seventh and eighth grade math for 32 years as well as teaching Algebra 1 and Geometry to advanced students. I hold a masters degree in Middle level Mathematics. Beyond teaching, I raised two daughters as a single mom and I'm the proud grandmother of 4 grandkids. As such, I'm able to connect with students of a wide age range.

As a teacher I have always gravitated towards struggling students and pride myself on being able to find ways to help them understand math and improve their skills. I try to equip my students with the tools to approach problems and succeed even after they are no longer meeting with me. Students have also benefitted from my teaching by developing better study and organizational skills.
