About Sandra
Hello! I'm Sandra, a qualified Singapore MOE-trained secondary teacher with over 8 years of teaching experience in Home Economics, Food & Consumer Education, Health Education and Food Technology.
Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with students of different abilities and backgrounds, helping them build confidence, develop practical life skills and achieve their learning goals. I believe every student has the potential to succeed when they are taught in a way that suits their individual learning style.
In addition to my teaching qualifications, I hold a Specialist Diploma in Nutrition & Health Promotion, which allows me to bring real-world knowledge into my lessons. I enjoy making learning engaging, relevant and practical by connecting classroom concepts with everyday life.
My lessons are patient, encouraging and tailored to each student's needs. Whether you are looking to improve your understanding of a subject, prepare for assessments, strengthen study skills or simply gain more confidence, I will work alongside you to support your progress at a pace that suits you.
I welcome students from Years 7–13, as well as adult learners who wish to improve their knowledge of nutrition, healthy living or practical food skills.

I believe every student learns differently, so my lessons are tailored to each student's needs, learning style and goals. My aim is to build confidence, develop practical skills and help students become independent learners rather than simply memorizing information.
As a Singapore MOE-trained secondary teacher with over 8 years of teaching experience, I have taught Home Economics, Food & Consumer Education, Health Education and Food Technology to students from lower secondary through upper secondary levels. I have also supported students with diverse learning needs and understand the importance of creating a safe, encouraging and inclusive learning environment.
My teaching approach is interactive and practical. Depending on the student's needs, lessons may include:
* Breaking down difficult concepts into simple, manageable steps
* Guided practice and exam preparation
* Real-life applications of nutrition, food science and health concepts; including emotional and mental well-being using the Eden Method.
* Study skills, organization and confidence-building strategies
* Constructive feedback to help students improve at their own pace
Lessons are typically 60 minutes although 90-minute sessions can be arranged for practical work, assignment support or exam preparation.
I welcome students from Years 7–13, including those studying Home Economics, Food Technology, Health Education and Nutrition. I am also happy to support students who need extra guidance with study skills, homework or confidence in learning.
My goal is to help every student enjoy learning, develop practical life skills and achieve their personal best in a positive and supportive environment.
