About Harry
I have taught at World Team USA, Ralph Gracie, and various private residences throughout the Bay Area.
I am the Co-Owner and Co-Founder of Growth Jiu Jitsu in the Outer Richmond district of San Francisco. Two friends and I opened our gym to share our love for martial arts by growing a welcoming community where people can learn and share knowledge and good vibes.

I understand that many adults who are looking to start their martial arts journey do not possess an athletic background. Therefore, I focus on developing balance, coordination, and the specific muscle groups associated with Muay Thai and Kickboxing.
My lessons are custom suited to my students needs.
As with any skill, my lessons compound skills developed in previous lessons. Time will be spent as needed on review, and on new skills and concepts.
What sets me apart from most martial arts coaches, is while most of them are accomplished fighters, the art has become so innate to them that they cannot often empathize with the beginner, and therefore, explicitly explain lower level concepts needed to successfully achieve higher level skills. My goal as a martial arts coach in addition to inspiring passion for an art that has given me so much is to provide beginners the fundamental skills they need to eventually graduate past me, and excel as practitioners, fighters, and future teachers as well.

Perfect! Harry was absolutely amazing! He was professional and had a soft demeanor working with my two young boys. He had the perfect balance of teaching and play as my kids are 4 and 6 years old and get easily distracted. I highly recommend Harry for all ages.
Perfect! Harry really listened to what I was looking for and tailored the class to me—a blend of technique and exercise. I've taken boxing classes before, but having Harry as my private coach really takes it to the next level. He explains techniques in a way that is easy to understand, and meets me at my boxing and fitness level. I'm really looking forward to our next class!

Harry is the first instructor I’ve worked with that is understanding of everyone’s different abilities and capabilities and adjusts his teaching styles to better help individual students. I’ve seen him do this with larger classes and experienced it one on one. He’s super patient and explains things simply which are arguably the most important things to look for in a coach when starting a new sport.
I am personally returning to Muay Thai after being injured and feel I have found the right coach in Harry because he understands where I am at physically, and where I want to be athletically; And he doesn’t accept sloppy form when I start getting fatigued.
Great coach and friend.
10/10 would recommend.Harry is AMAZING!! I will be going back and happy to say he’s my Muy Thai trainer. He’s a great communicator, very patient, and thorough.
Harry is a great instructor! He explains things in an easy to understand way that is perfect for beginners. He is able to pinpoint where you are struggling and figures out how to fix it. He consistently checks in to make sure you are not lost. He is also very friendly and easy to get comfortable with. Highly recommend!!!
I've been working with Harry for a few months. He is very knowledgeable about all things Muay Thai and has helped me greatly improve my technique as a complete beginner. He goes at a pace that is not intimidating and always makes sure I am ok with the exercises. Great teacher would def recommend!
