About Risa
I have 14 years of teaching experience, including working with students one-on-one when needed. I strive to help students connect with the material they are learning in a way that makes sense to them. I also have experience with diversifying the curriculum, as needed.

Euphonium is my primary instrument. I also have experience teaching other band and orchestra instruments at the beginning level. I can also help with music theory and questions about research papers/projects. If there is a topic I am unsure of, I am great at pointing you in the right direction for sources, , and I will be honest about anything that I am unsure of.
