I graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2011, with a MA Hons in Music (2:1).
Since returning to Manchester I have worked as a professional musician and tutor.
I am warm, encouraging and reliable. I’m here to help students achieve their musical goals. My favourite genres of music are Jazz, Classical and Rock. I speak basic French, but I am experienced in teaching using solfège. I have Grade 8 ABRSM Piano and Grade 8 RSL Vocals (Distinction). I also have Grade 5 Music Theory, Grade 5 Jazz Piano, Grade 5 Bass Guitar, Grade 5 Jazz Tenor Sax and Jazz Flute.
I am part of the DBS update system.
Professionally I have worked as a Musical Director on 3 Musicals, I have worked in various schools as a peripatetic music tutor. I am a member of band Really Rhubarb and regularly participate in studio recording, gigging and songwriting. I also have experience in function bands and performing with my Jazz Quartet.
I have a large amount of experience with ASN, ASD and VI people, I am a sighted guide, there are no barriers to learning with me and everyone is invited to have lessons and get involved!

Lessons are designed around you, the student!
I’m here to help you identify and achieve your musical goals. I teach both Trinity and ABRSM exams. I teach complete beginners to advanced musicians. I run student concerts and workshops so there is plenty to get involved with throughout the year. I am an experienced musician and teacher. I teach popular vocals and musical theatre vocals including exams in both these vocal styles.
I have helped students achieve Grade 8 ABRSM/Trinity Piano, Grade 8 Trinity Rock and Pop Keys, Grade 8 Trinity Rock and Pop Vocals and Grade 5 Music Theory. I have also private tutored the OCR Music GCSE and helped students achieve an 8 in 2023, and a 7 in 2024.
I speak basic French, but I am experienced in teaching using solfège.
I have a large amount of experience with ASN, ASD and VI people, I am a sighted guide, there are no barriers to learning with me and everyone is invited to have lessons and get involved!
Lessons are paid for at the start of each month via bank transfer, if you need any dates off this can be arranged in advance.
