About Haley
My name is Haley and I am a 25 year old lifelong musician! Since I was 4 I’ve been writing songs, playing whatever I can get my hands on, and passing that gift along when I can. I taught music lessons all throughout high school and college, and then in Kaua’i helped support the start of the very first music school, Play Hanalei! There I worked with kids ages 4 - 15, and tailored my lesson plans to each student's abilities, desires, and needs. One shoe does not fit all, and we all learn best in different ways, which is why my approach is ever evolving. I’ve done production and songwriting camps, taught lessons in ukulele, voice, piano, and guitar, and I’ve supported my students in preparing for recitals, performances, and other bigger goals.

My lessons focus on building a relationship with music that feels exciting while mastering a desired instrument with an approach rooted in music theory but also fun. Always we start off with going over our goals, start with some music theory warm up, work on specific skill exercises for that day, and sometimes we have little quizzes to check our progress

Haley taught my son and some of his friends how to play guitar and they had a wonderful experience with her! She is kind, patient, knowledgeable, and great with kids. I highly recommend her.
