About Matt
I’m a secondary school Music and Music Technology teacher with extensive experience teaching students from beginner level through to A Level. I specialise in Music Technology and have years of experience using Logic Pro for recording, production, composition and mixing.
I really enjoy helping people understand the why behind production techniques rather than simply showing them which buttons to press. My teaching is relaxed, patient and practical, and I’m equally happy working with complete beginners, experienced musicians or students preparing for Music Technology qualifications.
Outside the classroom I’m a musician myself, so my approach combines proper technical knowledge with the practical reality of actually making music.

My lessons are practical, friendly and tailored to what you want to achieve. Whether you’re completely new to music production, want to improve your Logic Pro skills, or need support with A Level Music Technology, we’ll work at your pace and focus on making music rather than just learning menus and terminology.
I can help with recording, MIDI, synthesis, sampling, mixing, production techniques and developing complete tracks. For A Level students, I can also offer focused support with production skills, coursework and exam preparation.
Lessons can be adapted to beginners, school/college students or musicians who want to become more confident producing their own music.
