About Youna
Hello! My name is Youna, I am a native French student from Brittany, France, currently living and studying in Cork as an Erasmus student. I am 20 years old and pursuing my studies in English, as my long-term goal is to become an English teacher. I have several years of experience babysitting and helping children with their homework in France, which has taught me patience, kindness, and responsibility. These experiences also gave me the ability to adapt to different personalities and learning styles. As a tutor, my goal is to create a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable learning and making progress. Whether working with young children or secondary school students, I bring enthusiasm, reliability, and a genuine passion for languages to every lesson.

As a native French speaker from France, I bring authentic language skills and cultural knowledge to my lessons. My approach is adaptable to the age and level of each student; from young beginners around 5 years old to secondary school students preparing for exams.
My lessons are friendly, patient, and adapted to each student’s age and level. With younger children, I use games and fun activities to make learning enjoyable. With older students, I focus on grammar, vocabulary, conversation, and exam preparation.
A typical lesson is about one hour, but I can adjust depending on the student’s needs.
Although I am at the beginning of my teaching journey, I have extensive experience babysitting and supporting children in France, which has taught me patience, responsibility, and how to build trust with young learners. My long-term goal is to become an English teacher, and I am excited to bring that same passion for languages into my French tutoring.
