About Managya

Hi, I’m Managya, a third-year Computer Science student completing my Bachelor’s degree.

I’m a patient and supportive tutor who enjoys helping students understand challenging concepts in a clear and simple way. I specialise in breaking down complex topics into manageable steps, making learning less stressful and more engaging. My goal is not only to improve grades but also to build confidence and strong problem-solving skills.

About the lesson

I tailor each lesson to each student and their goals. In the first session, I usually begin with a few questions or short tasks to understand their current level, strengths, and the areas they find most challenging. This helps me plan lessons that build their understanding step by step.

During lessons, I focus on explaining concepts clearly, working through examples together, and then giving students the opportunity to practise with support. I encourage students to talk through their thinking and ask questions, as this helps build both confidence and deeper understanding.

At the end of each lesson, I provide a few questions for students to try independently. This allows them to practise what we have covered in their own time. At the start of the following session, we go through these questions together, discuss any difficulties, and clarify anything they were unsure about.

I regularly revisit topics and use practice questions to check understanding and measure progress. As students become more confident, I introduce more challenging work to help extend their thinking.

I believe it is important for students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process. I aim to create a supportive environment where students can build confidence in their learning and develop strong problem-solving skills.
