About FATHIMA
Hello! I am a passionate tutor originally from Sri Lanka with a strong academic background in science. I completed my higher secondary education in Sri Lanka following the Biological Science stream, where I studied subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and achieved strong academic results.
After completing my advanced level studies, I continued my higher education in the medical field and was accepted to study at Dow University of Health Sciences in Karachi, Pakistan, where I am currently pursuing my degree. Studying in a science and medical environment has helped me deepen my understanding of the subjects I teach.
Alongside my studies, I have been teaching Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry to school students from Grade 6 to 11 and A-Level. I have experience working with students following IGCSE, ICSE, Edexcel, and Sri Lankan syllabi. I enjoy helping students understand difficult concepts in a simple and structured way.
My goal as a tutor is to help students build confidence, strong conceptual understanding, and effective problem-solving skills so they can perform better in their exams and develop a genuine interest in learning.

My lessons focus on helping students clearly understand concepts in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry rather than simply memorizing formulas. I teach students from Grade 6 to 11 and A-Level following IGCSE, ICSE, Edexcel, and Sri Lankan syllabi.
Each lesson is carefully planned with clear explanations, step-by-step problem solving, and interactive discussion so students stay engaged and actively participate in the learning process. I encourage students to ask questions and explain concepts back to me to ensure they fully understand the topic.
During the lessons, I use structured slides, examples, and practice questions to strengthen problem-solving skills. I also provide classwork, homework, and chapter-wise assessments to monitor progress and improve exam performance. Past paper questions and exam strategies are regularly discussed so students gain confidence in real exam situations.
My goal is to create a friendly, focused, and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable learning, asking questions, and developing strong academic confidence
