About Laura
I have a bachelor's in math and master's in education from Harvard, and am thinking of pursuing a PhD in math. I have experience teaching and writing curriculum at numerous extracurricular math programs, including the Art of Problem Solving, the Berkeley Math Circle, the Cambridge Math Circle, the Girls' Angle Math Club, Bridge to Enter Advanced Math, Canada/USA Mathcamp, and Firecracker Math, and I've also been tutoring students one-on-one since I was in high school. I've won awards in a number of math competitions as a high school and college student, including Putnam, the Regeneron Science Talent Search, USAJMO, AIME, AMC 8/10/12, Math Prize for Girls, and the European and China Girls' Math Olympiads.

I really enjoy solving all sorts of math problems and puzzles and love sharing that excitement with students. I take a student-centered approach where I ask lots of questions to keep students engaged and help them work through challenging problems and concepts. I work with students of all ages from elementary school through college. I can provide homework help with math classes at all levels, as well as preparation for math competitions such as the AMC 8/10/12 and AIME or for standardized tests like the Math SAT or AP Calculus exams.
