My name is Vivian, a Grade 11 student at The Bastow’s School – Ningbo. I am writing to formally recommend my mathematics teacher, Mr. Aidin Jalilzadeh (known as AJ), for the European Teaching Qualification Certificate.
Mr. Jalilzadeh is one of the most charismatic math teachers I have ever met. His vivid lessons have reignited my enthusiasm for mathematics, a subject I once had little interest in. All of my classmates hold him in great affection. Warm and passionate by nature, he delivers lively and engaging classes. Whenever I made mistakes in my studies, he explained problems to me patiently and carefully. At that time, my English was limited, yet he always tried his best to communicate in easy-to-understand ways, which was incredibly thoughtful. We were all truly sorry to learn that he would be leaving the school.
I still recall an unforgettable incident. On one occasion, the whole class failed to achieve satisfactory results in a difficult test. Out of kindness, Mr. Jalilzadeh gave us a chance to retake it. Though marks would be deducted from the retest results, his consideration touched every one of us.
While his Chinese is not yet fluent, he is an exceptionally quick learner and has made remarkable progress. He is modest and approachable, with no sense of superiority. He often asks us for help with Chinese. New words and expressions we correct for him are memorized instantly, and he can use them skillfully in daily conversations the next day.
His outstanding learning ability is also fully demonstrated in teaching. No matter how complex a math problem is, he can always work out clever solutions and explain them clearly and simply to us.
Witty, eager to learn and truly passionate about education, Mr. Jalilzadeh undoubtedly has the professional competence and comprehensive qualities required for the European Teaching Qualification. I offer him my wholehearted recommendation.

I'm a student of Aidin Jalilzadeh from my 11th grade at The Bastow's School – Ningbo campus. I sincerely recommend him for the European teaching qualification.
He is the most interesting math teacher I have ever met, and the one who made me truly fall in love with math. His full name is quite long. Afraid that we might have trouble remembering it, he said with a big smile, “Just call me AJ.” — such a funny and trendy teacher, and our whole class liked him immediately. His class was full of surprises, just like his name: when he explained problems to me, he was very gentle and patient, showing me how to solve the questions I got wrong.
Another thing that left a deep impression on me: his Chinese is not very fluent, but he is extremely smart and learns very quickly. Every time we corrected a word for him, he would get it right away and use it naturally the next day. This ability to learn fast also shows in the way he teaches math — no matter how difficult the problem, he can always quickly find the most clever and easy‑to‑understand way to explain it.

Aidin helped me understand more about how differential equations work and how they can be used to model events in Physics. He is absolutely brilliant, but also patient and even funny at times. If you need someone to help you understand the really hard stuff but in a way that feels relatable and safe, he’s your man.
