About Tshiamo

My name is Tshiamo Makuwa, and I am a third-year Bachelor of Medical Science student at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. I have a strong academic background in biochemistry, physiology, chemistry, physics, anatomy, and recombinant DNA, and I am passionate about helping others understand complex scientific concepts in a simple and engaging way. I chose to tutor because I genuinely enjoy teaching and empowering students to reach their full potential. Throughout my academic journey, I have seen how challenging certain subjects can be, and I believe that with the right support and guidance, every student can excel. Tutoring allows me to share my knowledge, build confidence in learners, and help them develop effective study strategies that will benefit them in the long run. Beyond academics, tutoring is also a way for me to give back by creating a positive learning environment where students feel encouraged, supported, and motivated. Seeing a student grasp a difficult concept, improve their grades, or gain confidence in their abilities is what makes tutoring so rewarding for me. I am excited about the opportunity to make a difference in students’ academic journeys and help them achieve success!
