I couldn’t recommend Colin more!

The moment I contacted Colin to see if he could teach my two girls who have been playing the piano for several years now, he showed immediate interest and commitment to guide them. He has been teaching them for almost a month now and the improvement in their technique and quality of daily practice is remarkable. We are so motivated and excited about their musical future that I can only say we are really fortunate to have founded him.

From 14 years of taking lessons with Colin, I couldn't have asked for a better teacher. He not only helped me to become the piano player I am now, but he connected piano to life. He taught me how to connect my thoughts, feelings, and stories to the keyboard. He taught me how to be process-oriented when it came to learning or fixing parts of songs, which has been invaluable when learning any new skills. From learning Mary Had a Little Lamb, to one of Chopin's preludes, the level of attention, constructive feedback, and energy Colin devoted was always consistent. Not to mention he is by far the best piano player I have ever heard. I could go on but if you're seriously considering piano lessons, there's no other way to go.

Colin is not only a fantastic piano teacher, he is also a very relational individual, who cares deeply about each of his students and his teaching style is very natural. Colin is a classically trained pianist and musician, who gives well rounded instruction in a relational manner. Your student will be well trained under Colin's guidance.

Colin is an exceptionally talented musician and teacher with deep experience in the music industry that extends beyond his training as a classically trained pianist. Whether you are beginning to learn piano or you are an advanced player looking to take your skillset to the next level, Colin has both the technical expertise and the gift of interpersonal communication and mentorship to help you achieve your goals. I had the pleasure of learning piano from Colin for over 8 years, and have maintained a strong relationship with him for many years thereafter. During lessons he will challenge you and hold you accountable to practice, but he will also make the process of learning piano very engaging and fun. Without hesitation I would recommend Colin as your piano teacher no matter where you are in your musical career.

Colin is a talented pianist with years of experience teaching children, young adults and adults. With his degree in music from ASU, he is one of the most knowledgeable and capable piano teachers I have ever worked with. Colin taught my son for approx. 13 years and now that he is an adult, the love for the piano he learned from Colin is starting to re-emerge. Nothing can make a mother happier!

I had been wanting to take piano lessons for a long time and Colin was referred to me by a friend who raved about him and his teaching abilities.

When we first started he simplified everything for me to be able to read and play music in a short amount of time. He is patient but also pushes me to learn proper form and technique so that I don’t develop bad habits while playing, which is exactly what I wanted. Within just a few weeks I was so excited to be playing full songs!

Colin is without a doubt one of the best pianists I have ever seen play and to get lessons from him definitely motivates me to strive for greatness. Because of his extensive background in music, he has an ability to listen and feel music the way it’s intended and shares all his tips and tricks for you to grow as a musician.

From beginners like myself, to professionals, Colin is an incredible instructor and would be perfect for anyone wanting to learn to play the piano or sharpen their skills.
