About Jorie
I am new to Superprof.com but I am certainly not new to teaching! I’ve managed a successful private piano lesson-business in Southern California for 15 years. Through word-of-mouth alone, I have remained busy As a full-time Piano instructor in-person and online. However, after recently moving, I am transitioning to full-time online lessons, which brings me here!

With so many piano teachers, how do you know who to choose? Here’s my top 3.
1. Experience! Years of teaching piano and teaching via the internet has given me a tried and true method for helping beginners make quick progress.
2. Teaching method. I have many students who have left a previous teacher based upon boring coursework (learning music theory which is too in-depth for the student's purposes). Also, the instructor not providing songs the student would like to learn. I provide the music you have a passion for learning, from the beginning, so you can practice with purpose.
3. Personality. Why would this matter? Before I was a teacher, of course, I was a student. I have a good perspective on which teachers have brought out the best in me. Unfortunately, there are too many instructors that can play well but cannot explain well. Also, a lack of patience and a lack of love for teaching is all too common. I genuinely enjoy what I do, I love to see the progress in my students, and I go the extra mile to help them accomplish their musical goals.
