About Nicolette

I enjoy teaching others what I am most passionate about, and I am also vetted to work with children. I feel I have a talent with teaching others in all aspects and I have lots of experience with music. I am a graduate with a degree in music production and sound engineering and currently studying a master's in Commercial Songwriting and Music Production.

About the lesson

I can offer you lessons at your home or remotely. I also own a piano so can teach you at my home address. I am able to teach you both music theory and how to play the piano. I can teach you anything up to Grade 4. I have been playing violin, keyboard and piano for 28 years.

1) When did you first develop a passion for music and your favourite instrument?
From a very young age, I have always had a passion for all types of music, but I developed a particular interest in learning the violin, keyboard, and piano.
2) Is there a particular type of music or artist that you listen to on a loop without it driving you crazy?
I have many favourite artists and genres! I love Hans Zimmer, Rihanna, pop rock, R&B, and classical music.
3) Explain to us the most difficult or riveting course you could personally give to a student of music.
I can teach students how to write and produce their own songs.
4) What do you think is the most complicated instrument to master and why?
I find the violin to be a complex instrument due to the various techniques that need to be mastered.
5) What are your keys to success?
The key qualities for success are persistence, discipline, and consistency.
6) Name three musicians you dream of meeting in your favourite bar in the early hours of the morning. Explain why.
Ryan Tedder from OneRepublic inspires me with his passion as a singer and pianist. Vanessa Mai is a highly talented violinist who has inspired me since childhood. Hans Zimmer's music resonates with me because it is very emotive and impactful.
7) Provide a valuable anecdote related to music or your days at music school.
I really enjoyed performing the violin in an orchestra and playing the piano at school assemblies.

Between the ages of 8 and 10, I performed "Memories" on the violin in front of the entire church.
8) What are the little touches that make you a Superprof in music?
I am highly passionate about educating others and helping them reach their full potential. I always ensure that my lessons and teaching methods are engaging.
