About Elisabeta
Elisabeta Furtuna is a Romanian born pianist and composer. She started studying piano at the age of 7 and in 2016 she completed her undergraduate degree at the Royal College of Music where she studied with Ashley Wass and Nigel Clayton.
In 2018 she completed her Master of Performance studies at the Royal College of Music with professors Gordon Fergus-Thompson, Ashley Wass and Peter Jablonski.
She participated in many masterclasses and summer schools and had performed recitals and chamber concerts in UK, Hungary and Romania. She is also an active choir accompanist, having had tours across Europe with a renowned Romanian girls’ choir.

I am an experienced piano teacher who has been teaching for 10 years. I have prepared students for ABRSM grade exams up to grade 8 in both piano and music theory. I also have experience with Trinity, both classical and rock and pop, and Rockschool.
I have finished my Bachelor of Music (Honours) degree in 2016 at the Royal College of Music and my Master of Performance degree in 2018 at the same conservatoire.
My style of teaching varies depending on the student. As I have experience with different age groups I tend to create fun and enjoyable lesson plans for young students, while still making sure their progress is steady. With older students, especially if they are preparing for grade exams, I tend to be more strict while still keeping a fun and encouraging approach. However I tend to be very flexible with my teaching style and I always keep a balance between each student's/parent's goals and their capabilities.
At the moment I am a self-employed teacher at Windsor Music School (Putney) and I am teaching a wide range of ages and levels.
