About Cleona
I am an experienced piano teacher of many years experience. I started playing piano ages 12 and finished all the piano grades. I also have a Diploma in Community and Group Music Teaching from the Royal Irish Academy of music. I currently have a piano studio of 20 students and teach both in person and online. In addition to teaching piano I also have experience in leading and accompanying choirs and singers. I also have played keyboards in a number of AIMS adjudicated musicals.

My lessons are welcoming, creative and tailored to suit the needs for the individual student. Children will follow suitable method books, learn through games, listen to wide varieties of music and learn to play pieces they recognise and enjoy. In addition older children and teens are encouraged to explore improvisation, composing and music technology (eg musescore, garageband)
Adults will also enjoy learning to read and play music they enjoy whilst exploring technology, improvisation, composing etc if they wish. Music theory and understanding is a key part of every lesson. All students of Every age can be prepare for RIAM exams if desired this choice will be discussed as part of the students on going progress and goals. Clear homework assignments and practice are provided weekly. Regular performance opportunities are also provided to grow confidence.
