With over seven years of dedicated experience in piano instruction, I bring a wealth of expertise and a passion for music education to every lesson. My commitment to excellence is rooted in a deep understanding of the intricacies of teaching piano, coupled with a genuine enthusiasm for inspiring students of all ages, especially children.

About the lesson

As a dedicated piano instructor, my approach to teaching is more than instruction; it's about a lifelong love for music while ensuring tangible progress. I have been teaching piano for 7 years since I was 15 years old in California. When I moved to Utah for university, I maintained my clients and have taught online.

Here's what you can expect from my lessons:

Teaching Method and Techniques:
I believe in tailoring each lesson to the unique needs and learning style of every student. Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your skills, my approach combines traditional methods using Faber piano books with innovative techniques to keep the learning experience engaging and effective. For example, every two months I ask my student to find a song they would like to play outside of the books. I've had students choose songs from their favorite films and artists, and it keeps them more engaged.

A Typical Lesson Plan:
Each lesson is crafted to suit your individual learning pace and skill level. We'll start with the homework song(s) I give the week before. You either get a check mark, or have to redo the song if some parts could be improved. After, we'll move onto learning new theory along with additional songs each week. Throughout the session, expect interactive activities to keep you fully engaged and motivated.

What truly distinguishes my approach is my aim to keep students engaged with a appreciation for music. I strive to cultivate a deep appreciation for music's power and significance. My commitment to student success extends beyond the lesson room, with opportunities for performance at semi-annual recitals, providing a supportive platform for showcasing talents and celebrating achievements.
