Hi parents!

My name is Ms Janssen and I’m a passionate primary & secondary trained teacher.

I love working with students of all backgrounds and needs to empower them to be confident learners. My focus is on building the right fundamentals, resilience and learning strategies to empower every student to be a life-long learner.

I love teaching and watching how students can be empowered!

My Approach

I love working with students of all backgrounds to build their confidence and engagement with learning. I bring a nurturing and warm approach to ensure your child develops the right fundamentals, learning behaviours and strategies to excel.

I build strong relationships with all my students and provide comfortable and nurturing support for your child's development .Together, I want to work with you to empower your child to become a confident and effective learner. And hopefully we'll all have a lot of fun along the way!

I create engaging and interactive programs that work on:
- Key areas of the curriculum
- Fundamental skills & practice
- Key social skills & learning behaviour
- Helping students build the right learning strategies and frameworks
- Formative assessments to give parents and myself constant insight on a student's progress.

The goal is to create and fun and engaging learning environment that allows the students to thrive and build their confidence and skills.

My Programs

I currently run small face to face group classroom based learning on P-8 level Maths that group students of similar abilities together. As part of this process I do a free assessment and diagnosis of your child's learning needs.

My rates

My primary classroom programs are $25/hr. My secondary classroom programs are $30/hr.

I do also offer 1 on 1 support under special circumstances. Please note 1 on 1 support is charged at a different rate ($50 - $70 per hour depending on year level).

About my classes

- Specialised Grouping: Students of similar abilities and the right personalities learn together, ensuring effective and targeted learning.

- Classroom Environment: Mimicking a regular classroom, students learn socially. This not only aids their classroom skills but also makes learning fun and fosters friendships. I work not just on their academics but on their learning behaviour, communication skills and social skills.

- Small Groups: To maintain a personalised touch and give every student the attention they need.

- Focused Curriculum: We tackle areas students struggle with, building essential skills and effective learning strategies across reading, comprehension and writing. Homework and activities are tailored to each student's strengths and weaknesses

- Interactive & Engaging: From activities that boost social and learning behaviours to targeted learning sessions, every class is tailored.

- Regular Feedback: Through formative assessments, parents and I stay informed about each student's progress.
