About Claudia
I have been giving occasional tuition in Maths, ESL and German for the past 13 years. I’m experienced working in the private sector as well as in schools.
I started giving private tuition as a teenager and have since been employed by schools to tutor towards A-level German exams, got a first class degree in primary education (with QTS and a focus on teaching Maths) and most recently I re-started tutoring Mathematics up to GCSE level in the evenings.

Due to my experience as a teacher, I employ different teaching methods depending on my students’ needs. Where desired, I work in close collaboration with the parents to ensure targets are met and needs understood. I am flexible and can deliver sessions that run parallel to school’s topics, or create an overarching curriculum to bolster general mathematical understanding and confidence in working towards exams.
I am enthusiastic, motivated and reliable - I will prepare lessons in advance, however I am also flexible and able to change lessons should new problems arise. I use online quizzes to consolidate learning in a fun way and as homework for those who are serious about progressing even outside the tutoring sessions. As with everything else, the more practice the higher the understanding of any given topic.
