My Teaching Method & Techniques

Conceptual Anchoring: I introduce new topics by linking them to real-world applications (e.g. hydrofoil cavitation, jet-engine flow) to build intuition before diving into equations.

Active Learning: Each session incorporates “think-aloud” problem solving, live derivations, and Socratic questioning to keep you engaged and deepen understanding.

Visual & Computational Tools: I use annotated diagrams, flow-visualization videos, and hands-on CFD demos (e.g. ANSYS Fluent or OpenFOAM) so you see theory in action.

Adaptive Feedback: Regular mini–quizzes and “one-minute checks” let me gauge your progress in real time—and tailor subsequent examples to your pace.

A Typical 60-Minute Lesson Plan

Warm-Up (5 min): Quick review of last session’s key takeaways and address any lingering questions.

Core Concept (15 min): Present today’s topic (e.g. boundary-layer theory, compressible flow relations) with visuals and physical analogies.

Guided Example (20 min): Walk through a representative problem step-by-step—derivation, assumptions, and solution strategy.

Hands-On Exercise (15 min): You tackle a parallel problem (analytical or simple CFD setup), while I coach and correct in real time.

Wrap-Up & Preview (5 min): Summarize lessons learned, assign a short follow-up exercise, and outline next session’s focus.

What Sets Me Apart

Research-Driven Expertise: Over 50 peer-reviewed publications on turbulence modeling, cavitation, and propulsion—so you learn cutting-edge methods, not outdated lecture notes.

Industry & Teaching Blend: I’ve consulted for aerospace firms and taught in top U.S. universities; I bridge academic rigor with practical engineering insights.

Personalized Roadmaps: I craft bespoke learning paths—whether you’re tackling a master’s thesis on LES or preparing for the FE/PE exam.

Proven Student Success: My mentees consistently achieve top grades, prize-winning conference posters, and journal publications.

Who These Lessons Are For

Undergraduate & Graduate Students in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Naval Engineering studying:

Fluid Mechanics & Turbulence (from laminar flows to LES)

Aerodynamics (airfoil theory, wind-tunnel analysis)

Propulsion (jet-engine cycle analysis, film-cooling simulations)

Research Scholars writing theses on cavitation, multiphase flows, or advanced CFD

Professionals & PhD Candidates seeking one-on-one guidance on grant proposals, journal articles, or complex simulation setups

Exam Prep: FE/PE review with a focus on fluid dynamics topics
