About Katherine
I have been working in brick-and-mortar, television, and online institutions for more than fifty years, designing curricula, teaching, and publishing work on how the teaching-learning process proceeds. I have two doctorates and two Master's degrees, I have studied in the United States and in France, and I have supported myself through academic writing, journalism, and classroom teaching. I can ensure that learning will take place under my aegis.

I meet students where they are academically, emotionally, and in life. Learning begins with knowing oneself and what one needs, not just what one wants. My lessons begin with talk, getting to know each other, finding out where students are coming from and where they are aiming to go. I create individualized lessons, tailoring my methods to the visual, aural, or reading-based learner in high school or college, in undergraduate study or graduate work. I encourage participation, I motivate to participate, I share what I know so that students can know.
