Lola has been our son’s tutor for the last 6 months due to our son not being able to access school. Our son is autistic and has sensory needs and high anxiety, so having someone who understands is incredibly important to us. From the very beginning, Lola has taken the time to understand his individual needs, his personality and the way he learns best.
What makes her so special is that she never puts pressure on him or expects him to learn in a one-size-fits-all way. She gives him the time, space and reassurance he needs, building trust at his own pace. She uses play, including Lego therapy, to engage him in learning and communication, and always gives him lots of positive praise and encouragement.
Over the last six months, we have seen his confidence growing. He feels comfortable with her, enjoys his sessions and is much more willing to engage because she has created a safe and supportive environment where he feels valued.
She has a genuine understanding and recognises that building confidence and emotional security is an important part of helping a child learn.

I would highly recommend Lola as a tutor. She is approachable, encouraging, and can explain difficult concepts clearly. I think she has a great teaching style and is highly knowledgeable. I always struggle with maths, and after signing up for an apprenticeship program, I needed to prepare for my Level 2 Functional Skills Exam. Lola was great. Very patient and taught me in a way I was able to understand and become more confident with my maths.
