About Tina
I am a fully qualified Primary Teacher with 15 years teaching experience, mainly in Primary Schools but I have also taught in Secondary Schools, Special Schools and as a private home tutor with both children and adults. I have also worked as a support assistant in schools for approximately 15 years and have recent experience of supporting students on Further/Higher Education courses. I have extensive experience of supporting children and adults with special needs and speakers of English as an additional language. I have taught English to speakers of other languages when I volunteered to teach refugees settling in the UK. I speak French and have taught this to a Year 6 class, I have also taught basic Spanish to a Year 5 class.
I have a very good understanding of teaching and learning and I ensure all students I work with have positive experiences so that they are motivated to learn and make good progress.
I currently work in my local university supporting a deaf student doing a degree in Criminology and Psychology.
