About Laura
I have a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Bristol and a Masters in Physics from the University of Nottingham. I have a passion for science and have taught at the undergraduate level in Physics. I am able to draw from years of scientific research to come up with real world examples to explain difficult concepts and ideas.
I have planned and taken part in many outreach activities to make science fun and engaging for all ages. I like to work with the learning style of the students I work with, whether that be visual, auditory, writing or kinesthetic and tailor my sessions to their learning style. I pride myself on being highly approachable to enable sharing of ideas and asking lots of questions.
My current research area bridges the gap between Chemistry, Physics and Biology making me a great choice for a tutor in any of these subjects.
