About Julien
I am a skilled saxophone tutor with more than 8 years of experience teaching college students. I believe music learning should be clear, enjoyable, and confidence-building. My teaching style focuses on helping students grow gradually while understanding each concept properly.
Students learn tone control, breathing techniques, finger movement, rhythm accuracy, and musical expression. I emphasise proper fundamentals so students build a strong base. Improvisation and expressive playing are introduced to develop creativity and confidence.
I use real-world music examples to explain how exercises apply to real songs. I also use recording feedback, guided practice plans, and play-along tracks to track improvement. Music theory, ear training, and sight-reading are included for overall musical growth.
My lessons are supportive and organised. I help students enjoy learning saxophone while becoming confident and independent musicians.

My Saxophone teaching style combines structured learning, creativity, and mentorship. I believe music education should be clear, supportive, and inspiring. Lessons focus on teaching correct breathing, tone control, embouchure stability, finger coordination, articulation, rhythm accuracy, and reading music.
Creativity is encouraged through sound exploration, improvisation practice, and learning songs that match the student’s interests. I guide students as a mentor, helping them overcome difficulties and build confidence. I also support students in developing good practice habits.
Critical thinking is developed by teaching students how to analyse music, understand rhythm and scales, and improve through careful listening. Accountability is maintained through structured practice routines, regular evaluations, and progress discussions. Along with Saxophone, I also teach Music Theory, Sight Reading, Rhythm Training, and Ear Development.
