About Henish
I am a BSc Data Science student at the London School of Economics with a strong background in mathematics, physics, chemistry, computer science and quantitative problem solving. At school I consistently achieved top grades and tutored GCSE and A level students, helping several move from feeling stuck to scoring highly in their exams. Since starting at LSE I have continued to support younger students with maths and university applications, which has given me a good sense of what selective schools and courses look for. Outside my degree I co-lead a major academic society and have delivered a TEDx talk, so I am very used to explaining complex ideas clearly and calmly to different audiences. Students find me patient, organised and approachable. I prepare thoroughly before lessons, set realistic but stretching goals, and always follow up with clear summaries so that progress feels concrete and confidence grows week by week.

I like to make maths feel less like memorising methods and more like solving puzzles together. In a typical lesson I start by checking what you already know, then break new ideas into small, clear steps, using lots of worked examples. I ask you to talk through your thinking so I can spot where things are actually getting stuck, then I build personalised notes and question sets around that. Mistakes are part of the process, so I use them to show patterns and shortcuts rather than something to be afraid of. Most lessons are 60 minutes, with longer 90 minute sessions for exam prep or mock papers. I have tutored GCSE, A level and IB students in Maths, Physics and Chemistry since sixth form, and I am now studying BSc Data Science at LSE, which keeps my maths and problem solving very sharp and applied. My lessons are ideal for students aged roughly 14 to 18 who want to improve confidence, push for top grades or prepare for university level quantitative subjects. Whether you are aiming for a grade jump or already strong and looking for stretch, I tailor the pace and challenge to you.
