About Harry
I am a Biology graduate, with seven years’ experience teaching in Secondary Schools. Science has been a passion my entire life, and I convey this enthusiasm into all my teaching. Whilst I specialize in Biology, I have experience of successfully teaching all three sciences to GCSE level. I have a proven track record of being able to effectively tailor learning to individual pupils needs, and accelerate their progress towards, and above, their target grades. I have an in-depth knowledge of Science curricula and specifications, allowing me to deliver teaching/tutoring as part of a spiral, integrated curriculum.
I have seven years’ experience teaching Key Stage 3, 4 and 5, in Secondary Schools. During this time I have been involved in developing and enhancing schemes of learning, adapting specifications to the individual learning needs of different pupils, and improving departmental resources. I have an in-depth knowledge of assessment criteria, and how to effectively communicate these to pupils. I deliver Science content in an engaging manner, that enthuses pupils with a passion for the subject, while remaining focussed on developing pupils’ ability to attain highly in assessments.
