About Mike

I’m Mike — a QTS-qualified primary teacher (3–11) with a First-Class BA (Hons) in Primary Education, and I specialise in supporting children with SEND. Fully DBS checked and clear. My background includes classroom teaching across Nursery to Year 6, with much of my teaching focused on intervention, alongside after-school tutoring and lots of 1:1 and small-group support. I’ve also worked in a secondary SEND setting, adapting tasks and communication to a wide range of needs, supporting behaviour regulation, and helping learners build confidence step by step. I’m autism-informed and wellbeing-aware, and I’m known for calm, clear explanations, personalised goals, and supportive feedback that helps children feel safe, capable, and motivated. Relevant qualifications include: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) + BA (Hons) Primary Education (3–11), First Class CACHE Level 2: Understanding Autism CACHE Level 2: Understanding Children and Young People’s Mental Health CACHE Level 2: Supporting Teaching and Learning CACHE Level 1: Safeguarding in a Learning Environment

I’m easy to talk to, and I create a calm, no-pressure space where children can try things out, make mistakes safely, and grow in confidence. I specialise in SEND support for children, with experience helping learners build confidence, communication, and practical skills for school and everyday life. I’m QTS qualified, autism-informed, and wellbeing-aware, and I’m known for calm, clear explanations and supportive feedback that helps children feel capable and motivated.

My son struggles at school with his English. Mike has been able to adapted lessons to keep my son fully engaged. Mike has made a great difference to my son’s reading and writing.
