About Alistair
I’m Alistair, and I’ve spent most of my working life in practical business and technical roles, including around 20 years running my own small business.
I started using ChatGPT because I could see how useful it could be for everyday work, planning, research, writing and problem solving. What interested me most was not the technology itself, but how much easier it could make things when it’s explained properly.
I know a lot of people feel that AI is moving very quickly, or that they are somehow already behind. My aim is to make it feel straightforward and useful rather than complicated.
I’m patient, practical and happy to start from the very beginning. I enjoy helping people understand something well enough that they can then confidently use it for themselves.

My lessons are practical, relaxed and built around what you actually want to achieve with ChatGPT. I don’t assume any technical knowledge and I won’t bury you in jargon.
We can start right from the beginning, or work on a real task you’re already trying to solve, such as writing emails, organising ideas, researching options, planning something, improving documents or using ChatGPT in a small business.
A typical lesson is around one hour. We’ll work through things together on screen, and I’ll explain not just what to do, but why it works so you can confidently use it again afterwards.
My background is in practical business, including many years running my own small business, so I’m especially comfortable helping adults and business owners who want useful results rather than technical theory.
These lessons are best suited to beginners and everyday users who want straightforward, patient guidance and a more confident way to use ChatGPT.
