About FRANCESCO
My name is Francesco, and I am a dedicated Social Studies educator with extensive classroom experience and a strong background in civic engagement. I have spent years teaching middle school students core subjects such as U.S. History, World History, Civics, and Political Science, helping learners build both academic confidence and critical thinking skills. I am known for my professional, structured, and student-centered approach. I hold high expectations while providing clear guidance, consistent feedback, and supportive instruction. My goal is to ensure that every student not only understands the material, but also feels confident explaining ideas, analyzing sources, and applying knowledge in meaningful ways. In addition to my work as an educator, I am actively involved in public service, which allows me to bring real-world insight into lessons on government, law, and civic responsibility. This practical experience strengthens my instruction and helps students see how Social Studies connects directly to the world around them. I take pride in being reliable, prepared, and respectful of each student’s individual learning needs. Whether a student is seeking academic support, enrichment, or exam preparation, I approach every session with professionalism, patience, and a commitment to their success.

My name is Francesco, and my approach as a tutor is built on clarity, engagement, and real-world relevance. I believe Social Studies and Political Science should not be about memorization alone, but about understanding how history, government, and global events connect to the world students live in today.
As a full-time Social Studies teacher with years of classroom experience, I use proven instructional strategies that meet students where they are academically. I break down complex topics into manageable concepts, use guided questioning to build critical thinking skills, and consistently check for understanding. I adapt my teaching style to each student—whether they need structured support, enrichment, or confidence-building.
Teaching Methods & Techniques
Clear explanations using real-world and current-event examples
Visual organizers, timelines, and cause-and-effect analysis
Discussion-based learning to strengthen reasoning and communication
Primary and secondary source analysis
Test-taking strategies and writing support for short- and long-form responses
I focus on helping students understand the “why,” not just the “what.”
Typical Lesson Structure
A typical tutoring session includes:
Quick review of prior material or assessment of current understanding
Targeted instruction on the main topic using examples and visuals
Guided practice with questions, documents, or prompts
Skill-building (writing, analysis, vocabulary, or test strategies)
Wrap-up and goal setting for the next session
Lessons are flexible and adjusted based on student needs, school curriculum, and academic goals.
What Sets Me Apart
What truly sets me apart is that I don’t just teach Social Studies—I actively live it. In addition to being an educator, I am also involved in public service, which allows me to bring real, firsthand experience into lessons on government, civics, law, and political systems. This makes abstract concepts meaningful and engaging for students.
I also understand how schools assess students and how to help them succeed within those expectations—whether that means improving grades, preparing for exams, or building stronger analytical and writing skills.
Recommendations
Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the teacher
I am pleased to write a recommendation for Francesco Fasolo, whom I have had the privilege of working with for the past seven years in my role as Vice Principal. During this time, I have developed both a strong professional and personal relationship with Francesco, and I can confidently say he is an outstanding educator, leader, and community advocate.
Francesco is deeply committed to the students, staff, and families he serves. He has strong ties within the school and broader community and consistently acts as a bridge between the two. His role as a community liaison reflects his ability to build trust, foster collaboration, and support initiatives that strengthen school culture and relationships.
In addition to his work in education, Francesco’s service as a dedicated councilman further demonstrates his commitment to public service and leadership. He models civic responsibility, integrity, and engagement in all that he does.
Francesco is a respected and valued member of our school community, and any organization would be fortunate to work with someone of his character, dedication, and passion. I recommend him without hesitation.
