- As an experienced tutor, I use a combination of lecture-style and inquiry-based learning methods to help my students learn and apply complex concepts in maths, physics, and programming. Each lesson is 60 minutes in length, providing ample time for students to engage with the material and ask questions. - My teaching approach is tailored to each student's unique needs and learning style. I use a demonstrator and delegator hybrid technique to provide all the necessary information and resources, while also encouraging active engagement and problem-solving. This approach is especially effective in teaching programming, data structures, and advanced linear and nonlinear algorithms, as well as more than 6 database systems. - I have 5 years of teaching experience in A-Level maths and 3 years of experience in programming, and I am certified to teach more than 10 programming languages, including C, C++, C#, MATLAB, Python, SQL, CSS, and HTML. I work with students aged 14 to 22 and offer my tutoring services to students in high school, senior high school, undergraduate school, and college (university). Whether you're looking to improve your grades, prepare for exams, or gain a deeper understanding of maths, physics, or programming, I'm here to help you achieve your goals. With my expertise and personalised approach, I can help you overcome challenges and reach your full potential.

  • When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?

I have always been interested in teaching, and my passion for private tutoring grew as I saw the impact it had on my students' success. I began tutoring during my undergraduate studies, and I found that I enjoyed helping students understand challenging concepts in math, physics, and programming.
  • Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).

The subjects I teach are math, physics, and programming, and I like to cover a wide range of topics within each subject. In math, I enjoy discussing algebra, calculus, and geometry. For physics, I focus on mechanics, electricity, and magnetism, and I also enjoy discussing the applications of physics in the real world. In programming, I specialize in C, C++, Python, and other languages, and I like to discuss topics such as data structures, algorithms, and database systems. While I enjoy teaching all aspects of these subjects, I find that some students struggle with certain concepts more than others. For example, some students find calculus challenging, while others have difficulty with data structures.
  • Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

Yes, I had a role model who inspired me to become a teacher. My high school physics teacher was a fantastic educator who made the subject exciting and engaging. He had a passion for teaching that was contagious, and he showed me that teaching was more than just a job. His enthusiasm for physics sparked my own interest in the subject, and I knew that I wanted to follow in his footsteps and become a teacher.
  • What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

The qualities required to be a good tutor include patience, a willingness to adapt to students' needs, strong communication skills, and a passion for teaching. It is essential to be patient with students as they work through challenging concepts and to be willing to adapt to their learning style. Strong communication skills are also critical, as tutors must be able to explain complex ideas in a clear and concise manner. Finally, a passion for teaching is essential, as it allows tutors to motivate and inspire their students.
  • Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

A valuable anecdote related to my subject is that during my undergraduate studies, I struggled with calculus. However, with the help of a patient and dedicated tutor, I was able to overcome my difficulties and develop a deep understanding of the subject. This experience taught me the importance of having a supportive teacher who is willing to adapt to their student's needs and work with them to achieve their goals.
  • What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or still facing in your subject?

The difficulties and challenges I have faced in my subject include staying up-to-date with new technologies and programming languages. The field of programming is constantly evolving, and it is essential to stay current with the latest developments to provide the best education to my students.
  • Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?

My particular passion is teaching. I find great satisfaction in helping students overcome their challenges and achieve their academic goals. Seeing my students succeed is the most rewarding aspect of my job, and it is what motivates me to continue teaching.
  • What makes you a Superprof (besides answering these interview questions :-P) ?

What makes me a Superprof is my extensive teaching experience, my commitment to student success, and my ability to adapt to student's unique needs and learning styles. I have a proven track record of helping students achieve academic success, and I believe that my personalized approach to teaching sets me apart from other tutors.
