A typical lesson begins with a check-in to identify gaps in understanding, focusing on reinforcing fundamentals and building on them rather than relying on rote memorization. I break down complex problems into smaller, manageable parts, guiding students to verbalize their understanding, which helps solidify difficult concepts.
With seven years of experience tutoring math to students with various learning needs, strengths, and backgrounds, I specialize in middle and high school math at both remedial and advanced levels. Additionally, with seven years of experience as a software engineer and about two years of experience as a web development instructor, I provide programming lessons for professionals learning automation or transitioning into tech roles as individual contributors.
