My approach is methodical but fun. I am very analytical and like to cover topics thoroughly, in a way that brings students to a deep understanding and provides them with the ability to comprehend written and spoken Spanish, answer written and spoken questions, and produce written and spoken Spanish. I focus on vocabulary, use props, games, and surveys, among other tools.
I am a public school teacher with more than 25 years of experience at the middle and high school level. I have taught English, as well as Spanish, and spent more than half of my career as a school library media specialist. In that position I created and delivered curriculum on library and research skill, helped teachers integrate technology into their lessons, and built an extensive book collection that was heavily used.
