About Yalena Y
Certified Spanish Teacher K-12 and Languages Instructor.
Experienced Teacher in Preeschol, Elementary, Middle and High School education. Ballet Dancer, Second language acquisition and tutor for English and Spanish. (15 years of experience).
My journey began in Early Childhood Education; at the Carousel school with Nursery III and Kindergarten. Since then, I have developed interest for teaching young adults. At Escuela Bella Vista, I had the privilege of working with Elementary students in 3rd, 6th, 8th and 9th grade students. It was a great opportunity to enhance my teaching techniques, and apply classroom management strategies, character education, and foster skills to promote students’ learning.

My teaching method is task based approach, full immersion and the syllabic sounds by repetition.
At the present time, I am knowledgeable about how to determine students’ strengths and weaknesses in the language acquisition process. My expertise in Spanish instruction is a strong asset that will provide them with grammar strategies, and fun, engaging activities to excel in their broader understanding of the language. On the other hand, applying my methodology to Elementary students would provide them the foundation they need to develop critical thinking skills. Achieve a global perspective on the language and its application.
