About Claudia
I’m a certified Spanish teacher with 32 years of experience. I started learning Spanish as a high school Freshman and loved it so much I decided I wanted to teach it to share my passion for the language and the culture of the countries where it’s spoken. I’ve lived in Mexico and Guatemala and traveled extensively throughout other parts of Latin America, learning about the countries and their people so I can share what I learn with my students. I’ve been teaching Spanish 1 through 4 throughout my career.

Spanish
Students will get a better understanding of the pitfalls of advanced Spanish grammar. Building upon their existing knowledge of the past tense, the subjunctive mood and compound tenses, we will get into advanced topics such as verb conjugation, complex sentence structures, and grammatical exceptions. Through targeted review sessions, students will sharpen their skills in key areas including the subjunctive mood, irregular verbs, the preterite vs. imperfect tenses, preparing them for success in high-level Spanish coursework and beyond.
I understand that every student has specific learning preferences and styles. With that in mind, I use my 32 years of Spanish teaching experience to choose a variety of teaching methods to accommodate my students' needs.
