About Milagros

Hello! My name is Milagros Grullon, and I am a Spanish teacher currently teaching middle school students in New Jersey. As an immigrant, I understand firsthand the challenges and rewards of learning a new language. When I came to the United States, I also had to adapt to a new culture and strengthen my English skills, which gives me a unique perspective when helping students learn Spanish.

I earned my bachelor’s degree from Kean University and am currently pursuing graduate studies at William Paterson University. My experiences as both a language learner and a teacher allow me to connect with students, be patient with their learning process, and provide encouragement every step of the way. I believe that every student can succeed with the right support, and I strive to make learning Spanish engaging, practical, and confidence-building.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is student-centered, engaging, and tailored to each learner’s individual needs and goals. As a current middle school Spanish teacher in New Jersey, I use a variety of teaching techniques, including guided practice, conversation-based activities, vocabulary building, grammar instruction, reading comprehension, writing exercises, and real-life language applications.

A typical lesson begins with a review of previous material, followed by the introduction of a new skill or concept. Students then practice through interactive activities, speaking exercises, reading passages, writing tasks, and personalized feedback. Each lesson is designed to build confidence and help students make measurable progress.

What sets me apart is my professional classroom teaching experience, my ability to adapt lessons to different learning styles, and my commitment to helping students succeed both academically and personally. I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their Spanish skills.

My lessons are designed for middle school and high school students who need support with Spanish classes, homework, test preparation, grammar, vocabulary, speaking, reading, and writing. Whether students are struggling in class, looking to improve their grades, or seeking to build fluency and confidence, lessons are personalized to meet their specific goals.
