About Erin

¡Hola a todos! I am an experienced Spanish tutor with a first class honours degree in English Language and Linguistics and Spanish with distinction in Spanish Speaking from the University of Glasgow. I spent one year in Andalusia Spain, communicating in Spanish every day with my colleagues and flatmates. I have a wide and well-rounded knowledge of Spanish, from grammar and essay-writing, to colloquial speech. I also love Spanish culture, and can provide study materials ranging from high literature to telenovelas.

I have been teaching since 2015, and have recently completed a PGDE teaching certificate at the University of Strathclyde. I have had a wide range of pupils, from toddlers to adults. With my firm but fun approach, my pupils have been successful in grasping the language quickly, able to use their new language skills in a practical setting. I encourage speaking as much as possible, as well as immersion in native resources and culture.

About the lesson

I can help pupils overcome the confusion of Spanish grammar, hone their writing skills, improve their listening, and practice speaking like a native! I want my pupils to gain a confidence in the language which we will achieve through consistent speaking practice, engaging materials, and repeated practice of the more complicated elements of grammar. What's more, I hope to share my love and passion for the Spanish language and Spanish-speaking culture!

We Love Erin! She teachers our 3 kids (ages 7, 11 & 13 so no easy task!) and she makes their Chinese lessons so much fun - I hear games, laughter and fun learning as well as quiet writing & reading time. She has to juggle different levels but has found a system around this during classes Classes are engaging but also moving forward where she has put goals into place to help my kids reach certain levels / qualifications and prepare for examinations. We would highly recommend Erin to anyone and any age.
