About Christopher
I am enthusiastic, motivated, articulate and personable. I am dad to 2 amazing and inspiring young girls. I love inspiring others, particularly the legion of young people that are eager to make this world their own, who appreciate help when it is offered, and are always wondering "what's next?" I love being presented with a challenge, (Eg: "I just don't understand this topic") and working hard to solve the problem creatively, empathetically and effectively.

I use empathetic and informed methods to reconnect learners with their education, identifying barriers to access and working creatively and efficiently to overcome them. Lessons will be minimum 1hr in length at a time (arranged in advance), with topics decided and prepared in advance, assuming learners provide me with access to their existing learning materials so that I can tailor them to suit their needs and best support their engagement with the topic/subject. Lessons will be varied, engaging, accessible, challenging and, hopefully, inspiring. I can tailor my sessions to suit learners from KS3 through to degree level, and those accessing education at any age. I have plenty of relevant experience and training including; - Personally educated to Master's level in humanities subjects. - 6 years' experience in high schools as a teaching assistant and learning mentor, working 1-2-1 with learners unable to access their education - 3 years' experience as a befriending volunteer and mentor - Currently working as a Support worker for autistic adults, developing learning and engagement strategies to enhance their wellbeing, connect them to their community and improve their skill base.
