About Cody
So, I've been around water my whole life. Learned to swim super young, like, four years old! And snagged my first lifeguard gig when I was only 14, thanks to my awesome parents. I’ll always remember the time I had to jump in to save someone while totally off-duty. I was rocking jeans, brand new Jordans, phone and all! Didn’t even hesitate. Just dove in. That’s when I really knew I was meant to do this – keep people safe and happy in the water. Seriously, nothing's gonna stop me. Not even a soaked phone, haha! And that passion goes into every single lesson I teach. For me, teaching swimming is way more than just showing people how to do the breaststroke or whatever. It’s about seeing them totally transform and get comfortable and confident in the water. Seriously, it's the best feeling EVER when you see that lightbulb go off in their head when they finally nail something. I live for that! I’m here to help everyone, no matter how old or experienced, find their own way in the water.

My swim lessons are all about you! I make sure we cover water safety first, no matter how old or experienced you are. Gotta make sure you're feeling good and safe in the water, right? After that, we'll work on whatever you need – whether you're just starting out, trying to get better, or even prepping for swimming in the open ocean.
I really focus on what *you* want to get out of the lessons and keeping things safe. If you're a kid, we'll have a blast! I might even tell a corny joke or two to keep you smiling. And if you need a little extra help communicating, like if you're deaf, no problem! I know some basic sign language and I'm all about using visual aids. Interpreters are always welcome too!
Basically, if you want to learn to swim or just feel better in the water, I'm your person. Kids, teens, adults – doesn't matter! I'll help you (or your kiddo) become a better swimmer and feel totally comfortable in the water. We can work on your strokes, build up your stamina, or even conquer your fear of the open water. I'm here to help you crush your goals! I advice beginners to take 3 consecutive sessions to learn the basics.
